How to become an IPTV reseller: your first-order checklist

Becoming an IPTV reseller involves more than buying access. You need a clear purchasing model, written terms and a manageable customer-support process. This guide helps you prepare a useful enquiry and check the offer before your first order.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Start by choosing panel credits or bulk subscriptions. Then confirm the full cost, account workflow, permitted resale scope and customer-support responsibilities before purchasing.

Choose the model before choosing a package

PremiumHDTV offers both a credits-based reseller panel and subscriptions purchased in bulk without a panel. A panel enquiry should focus on the tools you can use and the credit rules. A bulk enquiry should focus on quantities, durations, delivery and renewals. Neither model automatically includes custom branding, an API or unlimited trials. Ask which features are actually available instead of comparing package names alone.

Prepare a useful reseller enquiry

Describe your target market, expected number of subscriptions, usual durations and the devices your customers use. You do not need to promise a large sales volume. A realistic starting quantity makes it easier to compare the initial commitment with likely demand. Send this outline through the reseller contact options; never send passwords, payment-card details or a list of private customer credentials.

Get the costs and conditions in writing

For panel credits, request the unit rate, minimum top-up, credits needed per duration and connection count, balance expiry and refund conditions. For bulk subscriptions, request the minimum quantity, total quote, activation timing and delivery process. Retail plan prices are not reseller rates. Keep the complete offer together so you can check a renewal against the terms you originally accepted.

Confirm what you may sell

Panel access is not proof that every channel or programme can be distributed in every country. Ask about the authorized resale scope, content availability and permitted territories before making promises to customers. Do not describe a service as legal everywhere or imply a relationship with a broadcaster without evidence. The WIPO copyright overview linked below explains why rights and authorization matter; it does not verify a particular provider or replace local advice.

Plan your customer’s first setup

Identify a compatible player and device, confirm any separate player fee and use the relevant setup guide. Agree whether you or the supplier handles first-line support and how an unresolved issue is escalated. Ask whether a service evaluation or panel demonstration is available before buying; a retail trial does not automatically provide panel access. Record useful test outcomes without copying customer secrets into support notes.

Prepare renewals from the first order

Keep a minimal record of the order reference, duration, connection allowance, expiry date and agreed support contact. Check whether a renewal extends an existing account or creates a new one. Confirm what happens to unused credits or an unactivated bulk order. Your starting point is a clear offer and an achievable support routine—not a guaranteed revenue figure.

Before you proceed

  • Purchasing model and starting quantity selected
  • Full quote, minimum order and renewal rules confirmed
  • Resale scope and territories checked
  • Setup and support responsibilities agreed
