IPTV reseller credits explained: costs, balances and renewals

A credit balance tells you how much of a provider’s internal service unit you hold. It does not, by itself, tell you how many customers you can activate or what an annual subscription costs. You need the consumption rules and your purchase rate to calculate that.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Subscription credit cost = credits required × price per credit. Confirm both inputs for the chosen duration and number of simultaneous connections. One credit is not universally one month or one year.

Separate three different numbers

Keep the package balance, cost per credit and credits consumed per subscription separate. The package may contain many credits, but a customer account may use several. PremiumHDTV’s current packages and conversion rules must be confirmed with the team. Do not copy another provider’s credit chart or apply the retail price calculator to a reseller balance.

Calculate the account cost

Let C be the credits needed for a particular subscription and R your price per credit. The credit cost is C × R. Use the rate from the actual package you plan to buy, not a headline rate for a different quantity. Check for other confirmed fees separately. This gives the credit cost of an account; it is not a forecast of sales or net profit.

Plan the balance with a hypothetical example

The example below uses 50 available credits and a hypothetical requirement of 6 credits per subscription. Eight complete subscriptions consume 48 credits, leaving 2. You cannot create a ninth full subscription from that balance under those assumed rules. These figures demonstrate the calculation only: they are not PremiumHDTV package sizes, prices or duration rules. Recalculate using the confirmed account type and connection allowance.

Check minimums, expiry and unused credits

A minimum top-up is the amount you must buy, not necessarily the amount one account consumes. Ask whether the credit balance expires and whether the panel account has its own conditions. A customer’s subscription expiry is a separate question from unused-balance expiry. Confirm refund or cancellation rules before purchasing; do not assume unused credits can be exchanged for money or moved to another provider.

Verify renewals and additional connections

Before renewing, confirm the customer account, required duration, connection limit and displayed credit charge. Ask when the new term begins and whether the same login remains valid. More installed devices do not automatically mean more simultaneous streams. Do not assume an extra connection doubles the credit cost or follows the retail price formula; request the exact panel rule.

Keep records that support the calculation

Record the package rate, order reference, credits used, account expiry and agreed renewal process. Review the remaining balance before accepting a customer order and clarify how to top up. Include confirmed payment fees, refunds and support workload when planning your business costs. The model-comparison guide explains the alternative of buying subscriptions in bulk without using a panel balance.

Ask for these inputs

  • Price per credit for the package you will buy
  • Credits required by duration and connection count
  • Minimum top-up and unused-balance rules
  • Renewal timing and support process
