Measure the connection at the device
Run a speed test on the same television or streaming device, not only on a phone next to the router. Consistency and latency matter as much as the peak number.
Improve the local network
- Restart the router and streaming device.
- Move the device closer to the router or reduce physical obstructions.
- Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi at short range or Ethernet for a stable connection.
- Pause large downloads and cloud backups on other devices.
Check storage and background load
Close unused apps, remove unneeded downloads and install device updates. Older hardware may struggle with high-bitrate or 4K streams even when the internet connection is fast.
Clear the player cache
Clear cache—not app data—first. Restart the player and test with the default decoder. Changing multiple advanced options at once makes the original cause harder to find.
Identify source-specific issues
If one channel buffers while others play normally, the issue may be limited to that source. Test another channel and quality level before changing your home network.
TiviMate buffering: isolate the cause
When TiviMate buffering affects only one channel, compare another source before changing every setting. If several streams fail, test on the same device and network. A generic IPTV buffering fix cannot guarantee uninterrupted viewing; record each change and its outcome.
