Identify the actual symptom
First distinguish an empty guide from a playback problem. Open several channels. If video works but every listing is blank, focus on the EPG feed and its assignment. If only one channel is missing information, investigate that channel’s mapping rather than reinstalling the whole player. Write down the affected channel, date and device.
Confirm the supplied EPG source
Ask your service whether your account includes programme data and whether a separate EPG address is required. A playlist URL and an EPG URL do different jobs. Copy the supplied address without spaces or altered characters. Treat a URL containing account credentials as private; do not paste it into public EPG-testing sites.
Assign and refresh the guide
Open the player settings for the relevant playlist and inspect its EPG source. Menus vary by player and version, so use the application’s current help if the labels differ. Select the source supplied for that playlist, refresh once and leave the player open while it imports.
- Check that you edited the correct playlist.
- Let the update finish before making another change.
- Reopen the guide and inspect more than one channel.
Check channel mapping and time
If some listings load, compare the channel identifier used by the playlist with the identifier in the guide data. Similar display names do not guarantee matching identifiers. For consistently shifted schedules, verify the device time zone and automatic clock first. Only apply an EPG offset after confirming the underlying time is correct.
Avoid repeated resets
Try one change at a time and note the result. Before clearing stored guide data, confirm you still have the source details and know how to restore them. Clearing an EPG cache will not repair a feed that is unavailable or lacks schedules. Do not erase the entire app just because the guide is blank.
Know when to contact support
If the source is correct but several devices show the same missing schedules, ask the service to check its feed. Share the channel names, time zone, player version and last successful refresh, but never your password. A working EPG does not imply that catch-up or recording is included; confirm those features separately.
